The Light

On the 1st of the 5th 2018
I wrote a story about a light with my class. It is a very interesting story about a light and how I became the employee of the year. I have used my imagination to write this story about the light and how I went all the way around the world.

Here is my story.

The Light

At my job, I have one task. Every day I go in, sit at my desk, and wait for a red light to turn on. When it does, I push a button. I repeat this process until the end of my shift. One day, I find out what the button does… I push it and everything freezes. I push it again and everything goes back to how it was. The next day I went to my job and the light did not turn red it turned green, I had never had a green light before. My boss came to my desk and said “CONGRATULATION” you are the employee of the year.

I got a photo taking and the photo got hang on the wall. Ever since then I have luck.

I am now retired and I have had a great career.

I have traveled around the world and learnt different languages like Chinese, Spanish, Samoan, Tongan and Italian. I have enjoyed my life. THE END

For the last 2 weeks we have been looking at the three little pigs and what a protagonist and what a antagonist is. A protagonist a a main character or a good guy a antagonist is a villain or something that has done something wrong.

We looked at two of the same stories but the were written by different people. There is The true story of the three little pigs and The three little pigs. Both stories were written in a different way.

Uru Mānuka Trust Metting!

Today the Trusted Trekkers had to go on a special mission. We had to greet visitors at school, they came to have a special meeting with my principal (Mr Roberts). What we had to do it wait outside in the car parks to meet and greet the visitors. When the visitors came we had to ask them if they are there for the Uru Mānuka  Trust Meeting. If they said yes then we had to say "Hi I am Tasharn and I am a Trusted Trekker at Hornby Primary School". After that we toke them to the admin building also know as the "Office".  

We had to stay out there for Half an hour until we had to go back to our class. The visitors are know in our class room talking to as about what we have been doing and what we are doing.

Digital Ignition

For the past 3 weeks we have been learning about Coding with a lady called Lyn. I am in the year 6 group so I did some different thinks to the rest of my class. The lesson was called Digital Ignition. The first lesson we had we had to try and make the Robot make different colour, we use purple and green for on and off, because a robot only understand on and off.

The numbers in Binary go from the Left to right, here are some of the Binary numbers, 128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 and 1.

I learn't that computers only understand on and off and that there is a lot of step to make a robot move.

Binary Number Code

I have been learnig about binary number code. We had to try and find out what the meaning of Binary numbers an what they mean. Here is the numbers and letters for what they mean. I spelled my name like this, T-101000 A-00001 S-10011 H-01000 A-00001 R-10010 N-01110.  You can also spell different stuff like your last name and your middle name.

Try and find out what your name is.

Statistics Is Awesome!!!

Every Thursday this term we have been learning about Statistics. 

I have made steam and leaf graph. I thought that it was easier that I did a stem and leaf graph. What my class and I had to do is go around and ask people in the class how much siblings my class had. I have finished mine and this is what mine looks like.

Mythical Pegasus!!!
