HUR1 Who are we - Learning Story 📄

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing with you my learning story from Hurumanu 1 (Who are we). A learning story is where you writ a whole bunch of information about what you learnt and what you did for that whole Hurumanu.  I finished my learning story an there is a lot of things on there that I have done.
Here is my Learning Story:...
My Learning Story
Hurumanu: HUR1 - Who are we?
Name: Tasharn Rich
Teachers: DS, HT
Term 3
2020

Reflection:
Give at least three examples in each of the boxes below.
What We Did:
  • Parihaka was the first thing that we did.
  • Gold Rush was the third thing we did that I really enjoyed.
  • WW1 - Anzac + Women at war was the fourth thing we did.
  • 6 Photos was the second thing we did.
What I Learned:
  • Parihaka - Was that Parihaka started in 1866 and whenever someone would visit the kids would come out with bread and offer it to them.
  • WW1 - When WW1 started all the women had to take the jobs that men usually do eg. Truck driving - packing the trucks and unpacking them.
  • Gold Rush - People from different countries came from their land to NZ to find gold. Gold was found in a lot of places.
My Favourite Part:
  • Was researching information for the Gold Rush and doing the sheet for it.
  • Another thing I enjoyed was making the DLO’s for everything.
  • The last thing I enjoyed was working with my friends.
My Next Steps:
  • To stay focused on my work.
  • Work with new people that I don't usually work with.
  • Only talk to people about the work we are doing.

CARR Values:
Make a statement below describing how you showed each of our CARR values during this Hurumanu.
Commitment
I think I committed to this Hurumanu because I got all the work done and I posted everything on my blog.
Achievement
I think I achieved this Hurumanu because I achieve all of my work to my personal best.
Resilience
I think I was resilient because whenever I got frustrated and didn't know what to do I asked someone and then got it done.
Respect
I think I respected everyone in this class and the work that I did, I also respected my teacher and the groups that I was working with.

Mars Communication 🗣🧑🏻‍🚀

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be talking to you about what I have been doing for Science this term/week. For te term we have been talking about Mars and how they communicate with people to NASA. If you read my other blog post you will see what code they use to send messages
(D hex code).

This week we have been looking at communicating with each other by one of us standing at the end of the field and the other one would stand by the Kahui and try to communicate with them. In my group was Danni, Latoiya, Aone, Sita and Alizay. Me, Sita and Danni stood at the end of the field and Latioya and Aone stood at the Kahui and tried to communicate with us using dance moves.

The word that Mr Kane gave us was Rover so the girls dance the letters and it wrote out "Rover".

Statistics 📊

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing with you what I have been doing for my maths side of Healthy Living. For maths we have been learning about data sorting. For data sort we have collect all of the Mohuas P.E scores and calculated those into a graph. The data that I collect I did for the Arm Span and the Height of Mohua Students.

Here is the Median, Mode, Range and Mean.
584.25-Mean
3+3=6÷2=3 3Median
3Mode
7-2=5 5Range

This graph shows the Arm Span of Mohua Students. I only calculated 15 students that arm span was between 150 to 160.

Here is the Median, Mode, Range and Mean.
MeanMedianModeRange
33156915691569
51695+6=11 11÷2=5.5No mode9-1=8
0.0063842135815.58

This graph shows all of the Mohua students Height the shortest height was 142cm and the tallest was 170cm.
