  1. Kia ora Tasharn,

My name is Susie and I am one of the blog commenters for the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) this year. Congratulations on completing your very first activity! I like the way that you've started off the post by explaining to your readers what SLJ is.

I think you've mentioned some interesting points about New Zealand on your DLO. Did you also know that sign language became an official language of NZ in April 2006, alongside English and Māori? I am from Korea where we have only one official language which is Korean. So I thought it is pretty awesome that NZ has THREE!

I would like to remind you that if you are willing to use images on your blog, you will need to make sure that you attribute these images (give credit to the owner). Some images online do not need attribution but you will need to check the copyright information. This can be found by pressing the 'Tools' tab on google search. You will need to press 'Tools - Usage rights - labelled to use' then the site will take you to a collection of images which should be free for you to use! Make sure to click and go into the actual website to double-check :) Let me know if you have any further questions.

Looking forward to blogging with you this summer,
    Susie
