What Shoe Am I? 👟👟👟

Today fro Community time J1, J2 and J3 have been looking t a video that we have to do about a pair of shoes. We have to do story about what shoes do while we are gone.  But we have to do it in the shoes perspective. Here is my writing:...

It was a bright and sunny day that my caretaker decided to go for a fun  30-60 minute walk.

Hello, my name is Lexi and I am a pair of sport shoes and I will be telling you about what I do during the day like, what I play with, what I am scared of.

During the day I like to play with my soccer ball. With my soccer I go out side and kick it around and sometime I accidentally kick it into my neighbours fences and then the start to freak out because they know that no one is home, I think that it is a little bit funny.😁

One of the main things I am scared of Is the dog (Max) sometimes my caretakers leave the dog at home to sleep. But when he wakes up that when I get scared because recently one of my dear friends got chewed up, it was sad but now I have more and more friends. So now I don't really notice that he is gone.

Some of the things I like to eat is liquorice because my rubber part (the grips at the bottom) get more and more stronger so I can play sports for at least 5-6 years before I wear out.

Sometimes when I am bored of playing sports I like to make music it is one of my hobbies. one of the types of music I like to make is squeak hop. squeak hop is where you scrap your feet along the ground until you get a squeaking noise.

One thing that I definitely don't want to do is go onto social media because my caretakers dont go on it so why should I.

That's all from me now, Lexi OUT!
Here is the video and a photo of a shoe I am talking about:..

My Adjustment

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. Today I am publishing some thing to involve my reading. I am reading a book about a girl that has to adjust to something that she doesn't want to but in the end she is really happy that she is there. The story that my group is reading is How To Fall. Another thing that we had to do was make a paragraph about what was something we had to adjust to,
Here is my paragraph:...

Question:...

Write a paragraph about when you had to make a big adjustment, How did you feel? Why?

One time that I had to make a big adjustment was coming to Hornby High School. It was a big adjustment because I was at a new School and I new some people but I only new 2 or 3 people in my class, until I made more friends. I adjusted to school about 1 week after I started because I had friends to help me. One of the hardest thing I couldn’t adjust to was my new teacher because I didn’t know if she was going to be nice or if she was going to be mean. But the next two weeks I did start adjusting to that and my teacher is the best.

Roller Derby

Roller Derby is a sport that is played in mostly the Uninitiated States Of America. Roller Derby is a really ruff game to play. A game of roller derby can cause you to get lots of injury's. You can brake a bone in you body, you could even hurt yourself that but you might be able to play anything again. It dependent on what Grade you play in our how ruff you want to be.

My Reading group had to read a story about a girl named Maia that had to move houses but she din't like moving until her Aunty (Emz) told her to come to training with her.

My group had to make a DLO about roller Derby and how to play it.
Here is my DLO:...

Here is also a video on how to play:...

Maia New House

For reading my group (Blue Group) we have been reading this book about a girl that has to move houses and she doesn't like it but she finally finds something that she wants to do. We had Questions for the story that was about how Maia felt and if she found anything hard.

Here are the 3 Questions:..

Question 1:
Maia is proud  of Aunty Emz. How do you know?
Maia is proud of Aunty Emz because Aunty Emz is one of the jammers that scores points as they go past the other people.

Question 2:
How do you think Maia feels about moving?
I think that Maia feels really sad and depressed because in the story it says that "me and your dad get to chose what happens not you, so deal with it". But since her Aunty mad her join Roller Derby she likes where she lives know just doesn't want to admit to her mum that Maia is wrong about living there.

Question 3:
Does Maia find Roller Derby hard?
At the start she finds it hard when here Aunty comes over and takes her there. But when she got used to it she found that she liked it and she wanted to continue and then she got better at it and now it is easy for her.

This term for Hurumanu my class has been doing Music for one of our modules this term.  For music this term we are learning how to make our own piece of music. At the start of the term we had to make a sound of music in a circle.  Everyone in the circle had to make a sound that they wanted. In the end of it we had another go but with more people.

The second time we did it there was more people and got to noise. So there was one group that if they wanted to play with there hands your body parts to make noise went outside. The other group stayed inside as they were the ones that wanted to make noise with there mouth.

Another one of the activities that we did was when we had to try guess the instruments that were shown on the board, I really enjoyed guessing what they were.

Another activity that I enjoyed doing is when we had wrote down a solo artist and a band. The solo and band artist had to be from New Zealand, so my solo artist was Stan Walker. I chose him because he is a good singer and one of my favourites. My band was Six60 because again they are one of my favourites they are good at singing.

My goal for Hurumanu was to make sure that I talk to people in my group and make sure that I include myself in what they are doing.

Something that was really challenging for me was when we had to make our own song, because it we had to think about what was going to fit into the song and set a theme from the sound to our song.

I Am Grateful For:...

Today at CIP for the second activity we had to make a poster on our chrome books or device about what we are grateful for.

The main thing was about Gratitude. We could either do it on a Piktochart or a Google Drawing. I decided to do a Google Drawing. The meaning of Gratitude is the quality of being thankful and to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Early on we did a blog post about a story that was about Gratitude.

Here is my poster:...

Giving And Receiving

Kia Ora and welcome back to my blog. Today in CIP we the whole group for CIP watched a video called Ripped.

Ripped is a video were there was a man that was in a queue when this little boy wanted a cake for his Birthday but his mum could not afford it. So the man in the queue bought the cake for the little boy because it was his Birthday. After the man had brought the cake he gave it to the boy. The mum pulled out a note for his number so that they could pay him back. He grabbed hes pen and wrote on the note, "A simple act of caring creates a endless ripple, that comes back to you'.  The man walked away and the boy never got to say Thank You.

In the story there is a similar part where this little girl really wanted to get a cake for her Grandpa as it was his Birthday. She walked over to the stand of cakes and then this other man came over and grabbed the one that she wanted. Once he grabbed it he looked at her. He gave her the cake and she walked away. When the little girl and were family walked up to the cashier it came to a total that they couldn't afford. So the man that gave her the cake saw that they couldn't buy it so the man it.

The man the yells "Hey this is for you". But the could not accept it the man said "Please accept it please." The man gives it to the little girl. The Grandma grabs a piece of paper for the number, And as the wrote on the note "A simple act of caring creates a endless ripple, that comes back to you". When they got home they put candles on the cake and the little girl gave the Grandpa the note the Grandpa opened the note. He saw that the little boy he bought the cake for had done the same for him without knowing it.

That is the story that we have heard what do you think about it from what I have wrote. Please give me feed back on my story cover and dont forget to leave a comment, BYE
